This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Optimism can take you anywhere…choose to focus on what is right with the world vs. what is wrong. Bert’s talk tells us that Life is good if you do what you like and like what you do.
Bert Jacobs is co-founder and Chief Executive Optimist of The Life is good Company. The Boston, MA-based lifestyle brand spreads the power of optimism and helps kids in need by donating 10 percent of its net profits to The Life is good Kids Foundation.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Optimism & masks of in a pin box reality. Smiles on there face all the time they want to take your place. Lets be real optimism is the way to make your life better, but if you live in a poor neihboor hood it may be the only loney friend you have. Its taken years of optimism to change things like equality, Justice, so you cant give up on optimism, it take what ever time it takes to change things.

LOVE THIS <3 y'all keep doing great things :-) Reply 1 Seventh Hokage2 months ago It is really sad when people conflate pessimism with realism or intelligence. Sure, optimism can lead to naive world views but I've also experienced people who's pessimism paralyzed them into inaction and apathy to the horrors of the world. Sadly the world can not change with just one. A combination of both views is realism. Reply 1 Waverly Johnson5 months ago 26 months pregnant? If you can't see bad things and try to change them, you encourage them. Word is going in wrong direction. If you don't see that you are just blind.
