I’m a singer/songwriter trying to build my career on my social media. I just graduated high school a few weeks ago and am trying to get out three covers every week on YouTube. This has been very hard and frustrating at times. I enjoy the work, but it is hard to spend hours and hours on a video only to have no one watch it. Thanks for the positivity and inspiration on your channel. It really helps keep me going. Especially this video. I know I can’t expect success right away.

SamuelMusicOfficial Hey Samuel – I just checked out some of your covers. Keep up the great work. Do you have any originals? A lot of Independent Artists are fed up with the current model in the music industry, but there’s a new company looking to change that. Checkout “CrowdMusic.com” and join other Indie Artists like yourself who are looking to change the game and make it a win-win for both Music Creators and Music Fans.

Awesome to hear this message from you, Evan!
Currently, I’m practicing to become a successful music producer. So far I have made 16 tracks in 19 days.
I strive to make one track each day. It’s going incredibly well and one day I believe I’ll be a solo act on stage like the great EDM producers/artists in this world!

Good morning Evan. Thanks for my first cup of coffee. I love that you talk about how you sucked when you started. I say the same exact thing to people when I explain to them how far my husband and I have come since starting our production company and studio. We practice, research and develop our skills everyday. We learn something new everyday. #fromsucktosensational

its as if an entire generation can no longer buy a house in a good neighborhood because the generation before them fucked them over and is now telling them to get over it.

@Seeken did you even listen to this video, off course this is his whole life, try doing half of what he has done and then talk about what his job is.

I absolutely agree that most major disciplines require an incredible amount of practice, learning and coordination over many years, oftentimes 10 years…

I used to be confident in being patient, but realize I’m very impatient. 10,000 hours to mastery is just a beginner level to be “good” (my own self critical judgement). Jedi master level will probably take about 17 yrs. 8,760 (hours in a year) subtract 2,920hrs (8hrs sleep x 365) = 5,840 (hours for productivity, working on your craft, potential per year). For 10,000 hr mastery will take 1.7 years (if every waking moment is spent on your craft). For 100,000 (arbitrary benchmark set for Jedi mastery of your craft) will take 17.123 years. But I can’t let this mountain crush me, just put in the hours and consistent effort. It will move me forward. thx Evan, your vids always help me refocus.
