I am a high end auto detailer. When I finish a client’s vehicle I take a photo of the vehicle. That night I print business cards for my business using the clients freshly detailed vehicle. The next day I deliver the business cards to the client and ask them if they wouldn’t mind passing them out. They are first struck by the surprise of seeing their car on the business card. They are always more than happy to show off their pride and joy and refer me to their friends, family and colleagues.

Very inspiring. One of the methods I used that was effective for me was dropcards. So I had this company which created a splitting image of a $100 dollar bill but the size was smaller than the standard bill. On that bill I would write a message or call to action, fold it and just drop it on the street. It looks like money so someone is going to pick it up. I got many call backs from that method, some persons were pissed , some valued the creativity and some some the humor but most importantly it created a buzz and sent traffic my way

Really cool video, especially the end is important: “You can be as creative as you want” – and you should be! If everyone starts sending a shoe now to people, at some point it becomes totally lame and feels just like an artificial form of communication. There are some evergreens in guerilla marketing (like the first few), but if you need phenomenal results you have to think outside the box!

This is a great advice coming from me, who started a business from $900 and now making a revenue $7k-$9k a month in 6 months!!! 1 – if you sell products, then join the facebook sell/buy groups! Let us say that you sell cat products, then join the pet sell/buy groups, and start selling in those group that has your targeted audiences! But remember, that some of the owners of those groups are getting noticed too, and their a** will get hurt, and sooner og later you’re going to be kicked out. But in the meanwhile gain as much clients/customers as you can. That helped me alot to be where I’m at now! 2 – what helped me much was joining the different facebook groups forums (not sell/buy), that are specific with my target audiences. That way I tried to win my target audiences attention with either to convince my audiences that I know stuff, and where you could get the products. And it is also a great opportunity to win and gain followers…Until some of the owners of the facebook groups had their a** hurt. But I gained notice and a lot of people now are seeing what I can do differently than others. And it helped me make my webshop page start with a audience that already knows me, and know what I can do diffrently thans others that are in the same business. Btw! Love your videoes pat! Are following you since start ’16

The read between the lines message here I don’t think is the techniques used, but the target market. Pat made a list of specifically targeted people before doing any of these techniques. If you hand out chinese festival flyers to a mainly african community it will get less response than if you handed them out in a more chinese area. Having a target market of who you are trying to sell to makes life a lot easier when marketing and will yield higher returns.

Guerilla marketing method: it was part of the “New trends” group… Me and my band promoted our album release gig, by posting that a pokémon go “Lure” (attracts pokémon) would be placed for 3 hours at the venue. $5 tickets, we had at least 10 people just pay to sit in the back and play pokémon go. This is my bands youtube, feel free to subscribe

Who would actually dislike pat’s video’s!!! Pat you are amazing! Could you please do a video on how to manage your first major won investment. How do you budget and distribute the money for maximum survival whilst not jeopardising your growth. Thank you!

Love the way pat thinks! Great, practical video. Another tactic that the founder of toms shoes did is wear two mismatched toms shoes. Doing so drew attention to him, which allowed him to explain the story behind toms and promote his product.

Awesome video pat & the valuetainment team! I run a tourism business based on a island off the coast of qld australia, I recently had a truck put a 18ft x 9ft sign on it and parked it at the only bridge on or off the island. It received alot of attention, I ended up getting alot of work out of it and also speaking gig to present my product to a local club.

We own a pizzeria. We’ve had staff stand by the side of the road at 5 (rush hour) wearing a pizza costume and dancing w a sign of our restaurant. Very effective – this was so timely! I am going to use the geo filter idea for our local 4th of july fireworks! It’s held at a local park and hundreds (if not thousands) of families sit at this park to watch the fire works!

Hello mr. David, do you mind giving me some advice? I am thinking about quoting my university and start my own mobile car wash business, but I don’t know how to talk to my dad. I’m afraid he’ll be disappointed and won’t support my decision.

I am a 16 year old entrepreneur from mongolia. I have a jewelry brand by the title of @verocjewelry. I find that doing giveaways and competition boosts traffic to your brand and increases the awareness. It is also a stronger method to build social media audiences. I am currently working on a website so that I can ship worldwide. I hope you guys can check out my brand on instagram (@verocjewelry) or on facebook.Com/veroc.Official. Good luck for everyone else in the game too !
